Hand Me Down Zoo - Visit from Exotic Animals
About this meeting idea
The Hand Me Down brought us several animals to visit with our troop. For this meeting they brought us a Coatimundi, and two types of opposums. The girls got to pet the animals and learned a lot of interesting facts. Did you know that opposums are marsupials (not rodents), and that they cannot get rabies because of their body temperature? They also eat venomous spiders and snakes, and many anti-venoms are based on them!

I coordinated the whole meeting through Facebook messenger. Kerry came to visit us, which was super easy, but I think they have other really cool animals if you wanted to field trip to Dawsonville. For example, she has Kangaroos onsite, but they unfortunately can't travel.
